Getting around

  • Is a pickup service offered?
No pickup service is provided. In this area, a car is an absolute must to visit tourist attractions or go shopping. A rental car is highly recommended.

There's only one restaurant within walking distance (closed Thursdays), so in order to go to supermarkets, convenience stores, or do shopping, a car is a must.

From Naha Airport, it is possible to take the Yanbaru Express Bus, which services the Nakijin area, to either Unten Port or Hotel Belparaiso and walk, though this will take about 25 minutes.

Also, for customers wanting to go out to eat and drink anything alcoholic, please use a chauffeur service. This service will cost anywhere between 1,000 to 1,500 yen and the restaurant staff will arrange it for you. Taxis also operated 24 hours a day and, on average, can get to your location within 10 minutes. There's no charge for coming to pick up customers. The nearest supermarket is A-Corp and there is a taxi stand, which is recommended for use after shopping.
  • How long does it take to drive to chillma from the airport?
On average, it takes about 90-100 minutes using the highway. Get off at Kyoda Interchange, which is the last exit, and look for the signs. If you take the newly-opened Nago East road way (free and for cars only), you can avoid a lot of the traffic in the Nago downtown area and get here faster.

Also, some older car navigation systems don't have chillma registered and will not show the correct location. Do not input the address, but rather the map code: 485 630 828.

Also, about 1km before Unten Port Terminal, there is a flashing traffic light and a signpost so please follow the arrows to get here.

For customers with mobile devices, you should be able to check your location and distance using Google Maps.
  • About how long does it take to get to attractions like Churaumi Aquarium or the Nakijin Castle remains?
It takes about 25 minutes to get to the aquarium and about 20 minutes to get to the remains by car.
  • About how long does it take to get to Kouri Island?
Using the newly-opened Warumi Bridge and passing through Yagami Island, it takes about 15 minutes by car. Older car navigation systems don't have the Warumi Bridge registered, so please use the signs indicated on the road.
